Empowering At-Risk Youth Through the Power of Theater

  • The main objective of the project ‘Empowering youth at risk through the power of theater’ is to empower youth at risk through theater-based activities.
  • The project ‘Empowering Youth at Risk through the Power of Theater’ aims to empower youth at risk through theater and increase their participation in international youth exchanges. The objectives of the project are as follows:
  1. Improving Quality: To improve the quality of activities for youth at risk in partner organizations. This aims to ensure that young people are supported in a more effective and meaningful way.
  2. Equipping Youth Workers: To equip youth workers who will participate in the youth exchange as group leaders with new theater-based methods and techniques, especially in managing strong emotions, building self-confidence and self-awareness. This includes developing effective approaches to youth empowerment.
  3. Personal and Professional Development: Contributing to the personal and professional development of vulnerable young people by providing them with opportunities to participate in international youth exchanges.
  4. Long-term Cooperation: To support long-term cooperation between partners under the Erasmus+ Program and to ensure the long-term success of the project by building sustainable and effective partnerships, especially with young people at risk.
  • Opportunity to take part in local, national and international events;
  • Active participation and empowerment in community life;
  • Acquisition of knowledge and skills in theater methods, tools and techniques;
  • Positive change in the capacity of youth workers and institutions to work more effectively with young people using theatre-based tools;
  • They will increase their knowledge about the Erasmus+ Program and will be ready to transform their ideas into local and international initiatives;
  • Awareness raising to promote active participation of young people in the Erasmus+ Program;
  • Positive change in the ability to convey emotions and thoughts through theater;
  • Impact on youth workers, leaders and representatives
  • Young people learn to act together, cooperate and coordinate towards common goals by working in groups during theater activities.
  • The ability to solve problems that may be encountered in theater processes is developed.
  • Positive change in their ability to think creatively and find flexible solutions.
  • Within the scope of the project, they improve their communication skills in different languages.
  • At the end of the project, participants will receive a Youthpass certificate.

  • Applicants are expected to have strong communication skills, be suitable for group work and be able to work efficiently in a team. It is important that applicants are responsible in fulfilling their duties in the project. Applicants should be between the ages of 18-30.
  • Youthpass is a European recognition tool used to identify and document learning outcomes achieved in projects under the Erasmus+ Youth in Action and European Solidarity Program. 
  • Youthpass encourages individual reflection and awareness of learning and helps to make learning outcomes visible for both learners and others.
  •  It aims to strengthen reflective practices in youth work and solidarity activities, thus improving their quality and recognition. 
  • It also supports the ongoing journeys of young people and youth workers and increases the visibility of the value of European participation.
